So sorry to hear that this restaurant has closed. The food was delicious. Whether eating in or ordering to go it was outstanding. I wish the owner and staff the best of luck in any new endeavors. Always warm and inviting.

My taste buds are on a never-ending Italian rollercoaster - every time I think I've reached the pinnacle, another eatery comes along and blows my mind! Meatballs, wings, pasta, steak tips... and just when I'm stuffed, Tres Leches Cake and Bread Pudding show up and bring the house down!!!!

Food was so amazing. Everything we ordered was great. Highly recommend the bread pudding for dessert

The food is delicious, rich in flavor. Carmen and Paolo provided great service. They're sweet and attentive. The ambiance is calm, can be romantic if that's what you're going for and clean. Don't forget to finish with an espresso & tiramisu!

Definitely don't be put off by this lovely place being in a strip mall!!! We loved it here! Atmosphere and waitstaff are amazing and the food is unbelievable good! Even though their pasta is not made in house (but right next door), it's fantastic and plentiful! My husband got the bolognese and I had the chicken and broccoli. Our appetizer was a buratta with peaches, blueberries, tomatoes, and balsamic glaze! Unreal! And the bathrooms.....wow, so clean and lovely real flowers! I really feel that it is an important part of a restaurant. We will be back.

An absolutely beautiful restaruant and the food is amazing. You don't need to go into Botson for a great Italian meal any longer. Service is impeccable! Only downside is the distance, worth the drive!!

First time here and it was a great experience. Cozy atmosphere, not too loud, food came out quick and hot. I had the octopus app and the Nonna both very good especially for the portion size and the price! My boyfriend had the mozzarella balls and the shrimp scampi subbed with rigatoni. He said both were tasty (but being biased he said my scampi was better ) I would definitely come back- especially to support a local/neighborhood spot.

Paolo's is a fantastic find in Saugus. It's warm and inviting. The host was so kind and was able to seat my handicapped father in a table near the door and space heater, which was incredibly appreciated. Our server was also wonderful. And someone, guessing it was the owner, stopped by to see how we liked our meal. I had the PSL martini. I'm not sure the bartender liked me, since they didn't put the rim on the martini and added a dried apple ring, which was odd. I thought they might be out of the rim, but since we sat near the bar, I could see it was added to other drinks. They also weren't the friendliest when I walked in--just stared at me and instead of saying anything when I walked up, rudely pointed to the host stand, which I had not noticed. Anyway, if they are working when I return, would not order a cocktail. Even though my drink was delicious. That was the only off-putting part of our whole experience, because all other staff were great. Food was delicious. Bread is great. Fried mozzarella hit the spot and the tomato sauce was incredible. I was disappointed that the orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe was not available, as it was on the online menu but not the actual menu. It's one of my all-time favorite pasta dishes. But I ordered another fave--the chicken broccoli pasta. It was fantastic. My stepmother loved her mushroom pasta and my dad enjoyed his scallop risotto. For dessert, he ordered bread pudding and my stepmother and I shared the tiramisu, like, everything else, was fantastic. I'll absolutely be requesting that we visit Paolo's whenever I'm in town.
